If your self-confidence is affected by the appearance of sagging skin or deep lines and creases, or if minimally invasive treatments don’t seem to be working for you anymore, a facelift (rhytidectomy) may be the most effective solution for you.
Should You Choose A Facelift?
Throughout your life, the sun’s radiation, stress, gravity, and other factors cause the skin to sag and fit more loosely. Areas of the face and neck, in particular around the jawline, are especially prone to the aging process. Though these changes are gradual, wrinkles and other signs of aging can make individuals “feel older” than they really are.
Giving You Back Your Confidence
At Dr. Wali Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, we understand how important confidence is in our everyday lives. We want our patients to feel empowered and motivated at the beginning of every day. A facelift is designed to smooth and firm the skin, providing a fresh, youthful appearance.
Whether it’s sagging skin, muscles and fat in the face and neck, excess skin, a sagging jaw line or crease lines along the nose, mouth, and chin, a facelift will give you the beautiful results that you’re longing for.
Procedure Tailored To You
We use several different facelift techniques and always discuss each technique with you during your consultation in order to provide the information you need when choosing the technique which is best for you.

Kind Words From Happy Patients
We are so privileged to have been able to look after so many patients that are thrilled with their results.
A face lift may take several hours or longer depending on whether other cosmetic procedures are completed at the same time. Sometimes other procedures may be performed in separate appointments.
The standard procedure for a facelift commonly involves making small incisions just inside the hairline, following the contour in front of the ear, and continuing under the earlobe to the backside of the ear and to the lower scalp.
Tissue and fat deposits are separated, the skin is stretched and tightened, and any excess skin is removed. If the neckline requires attention, Dr. Wali will make an additional incision under the chin and the same procedure is again followed.
Minuscule stitches are used to close the incisions and to reduce any chance of scarring. Metal clips or staples may also be utilized at the hairline. Immediately after surgery, the face is fitted with bandages in order to decrease the recovery time and to reduce swelling.
Generally, post-operative instructions call for plenty of rest and limited movement in order to speed up the healing and recovery process. Bruising and swelling will be present for a time, but these can be reduced with cold compresses and by keeping the head elevated. Time off from work will be required.
The stitches, clips or staples are normally removed within a week. Patients sometimes report some minor pain associated with surgery. Any discomfort can be treated effectively with oral medication. While complications are rare, patients can minimize potential problems by carefully following the directions given after the procedure.

When determining the overall cost of a patient’s facelift, the details of their case must be considered. The type of anesthesia administered, the techniques involved, and the time needed to perform the surgery all play a role in the final price of a rhytidectomy.
