Standard Treatment: Jet Peel with lymph drainage – General exfoliation and hydration of the face and neck. A jet of saltwater is used to remove 1/3 of the dead skin on your face. A saline solution is then injected under the skin to plump and hydrate your skin.

Standard Treatment + hyaluronic acid exfoliation* – Anti-aging/wrinkle treatment. For additional treatment at the same sitting, add hyaluronic acid, a key component of collagen, with the jet of saline, to plump wrinkles and fill pitting from old acne scars and wrinkles.

Standard Treatment + Vitamin C * – Perfect for treating sun damage, healing wrinkles and environmentally stressed skin.

How can I book in for a Tummy Tuck?

You will need to book in for a consultation with Dr. Wali, where your current health status will be assessed, along with your medical history. Dr. Wali will also perform an examination.

Once your suitability for a tummy tuck procedure is confirmed, and Dr. Wali is happy to accept you as eligible to perform surgery on, you can then discuss the results you are looking to achieve woth your abdominoplasty surgery.

Dr. Wali will explain all the details of the surgery, including all preparation and aftercare. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have too.

What preparation do I need to do before surgery?

Patients will need to avoid smoking cigarettes and/or drinking alcohol in the weeks leading up to their abdominoplasty. These activities can negatively affect the immune system and skin health, which can lead to surgical and post-surgical complications, and affect general recovery after major surgery.

Additionally, patients should avoid taking any NSAIDs before the procedure. Such medications can result in bleeding-related complications.

We would recommend that patients stock up on ice packs, gauze pads, comfortable clothing and extra pillows. All these items will help you immeasurably during recovery. If you’re a caregiver and have dependents at home, you will need to arrange domestic help for them in advance.

What happens during a tummy tuck procedure?

At the start of a tummy tuck, anesthesia is administered to ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout the surgery and is free of any pain. Once it has taken effect, a curving horizontal incision is created. This incision stretches from hip bone to hip bone and is easily camouflaged with a bathing suit. A second incision may be made around the belly button.

Next, the skin is lifted. Excess fat is removed via liposuction, and sagging muscles are tightened using internal sutures. Excess skin is removed using a scalpel. The remaining skin is redraped. Finally, the incisions are closed using stitches.

What can I expect during recovery?

The recovery process after a tummy tuck requires that the patient wear an elastic garment. This garment encourages the skin to better fit the new contours of the abdomen. It also controls post-surgical swelling. Bruising will also be present for a time but will soon fade.

During recovery and healing, patients must stay home from work and must avoid physically strenuous activities like heavy lifting. Stitches will be removed during a follow-up appointment with Dr. Wali.
